Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky spoke with US Vice President JD Vance for "about half an hour" on Sunday in Rome, after meeting Pope Leo XIV at the Vatican, a senior Ukrainian official told AFP.
"The meeting is over. It lasted about half an hour," the source within the Ukrainian presidency said, describing the exchange as "normal." Before that, "a meeting with the Pope took place after Mass," he added, without revealing its content.
